The first step in the process was to survey the site to determine the best approach for installing the underfloor heating. The team decided to use a water-based system, which involves laying pipes under the floor that circulate warm water to heat the space. This type of system is known for being efficient, as it can be easily controlled through a thermostat.

Once the underfloor heating system was installed, the team moved on to the screed. Screed is a type of flooring that is poured over the underfloor heating pipes, creating a level surface for the final floor covering. The team used a liquid screed, which is a self-leveling mixture that is easy to pour and spread.

The installation process was completed over several stages. First, the underfloor heating pipes were laid out and connected to the manifold, which is the central control unit that distributes hot water to the pipes. Next, the screed was poured over the pipes and allowed to dry. This process took several days, as the screed needed to cure fully before the final floor covering could be installed.
